She is young, and she is Italian, a native of Mirano, in the province of Venice to be precise, she used to hold the women's 200 m freestyle (long course and short course) and 400 m (long course) freestyle world record, but very unfortunately she finished fifth in both events at the recently held London 2012 Olympics. At the 2009 World Championships in Rome, Pellegrini became the first woman ever to breach the 4 minute barrier in 400 m freestyle with the time 3:59.15. One of the deciding factor must be because she once featured on Vanity Fair Magazine, that's when we don't hesitate to put her on this sexiest women alive list.

This used to be a controversially sexy French Olympic, world and European champion swimmer was included in this sexiest women swimmers alive list because she has held the world record in freestyle events between 200 and 1500 meter. She is the older sister of Florent Manaudou who is also an Olympic gold medalist swimmer. Manaudou competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in three events - 100 m backstroke, 200 m backstroke, and the 4 x 100 m medley relay. She failed to advance from the first round heats in all the three events, but hey she is known for her wild activities, that's why we still include her.

We know very little about her, she is a Hungarian swimmer, who three times competed for her native country at the Summer Olympics: 2004, 2008, and 2012. She and her sister who was also in this list famously called The Feres sisters probably are the only two swimmers who don't really competing that much and also didn't show much achievement in swimming but was featured in almost all of the sexiest women swimmers alive list out there. They competed for Brazil in the 2007 Pan American Games in synchronized swimming. They were also rumored to be competing as synchronized swimmers in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, but they didn't.

She is the oldest on this list of sexiest women swimmers alive 2012, to be honest she is not concentrating in swimming races, but she is concentrate in synchronized swimming. She has won gold medals in the duet competition with Anastasia Ermakova at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and was part of the Russian gold medal team in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics. After winning the 2012 Olympic gold medal she announced that she would retire to take up coaching. Her gold medals are so many, just look her up on wikipedia, and you'll know what i mean.
